Plan of Salvation

1. Genesis 1:26-28 AMP Created in sameness and likeness with a mandate:
Then God said, “Let us (Father, Son, Holy Ghost) make man in our image, according to our Likeness (not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness); and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the cattle and over the entire earth, and over everything that creeps and crawls on the earth 27 “. So, God created man in His Own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him, male and He created them. 28 And God blessed them (granting them certain authority) and said to them,” be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it (putting it under your power); and rule over (dominate) the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth.

2. Commanded to obey, disobedience, and the penalty:
Genesis 2:15-17 AMP So The Lord God took the man ( He had made) and settled him in the garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it 16 The Lord God commanded the man, saying,” You may freely ( unconditionally) eat ( the fruit) from every tree of the garden 17 but (only) from the tree of the knowledge ( recognition) of good and evil you shall not eat, otherwise on the day that you eat from it, you shall most certainly die ( because of your disobedience).

3. Disobedience:
Genesis 3:6-7 AMP And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise and insightful, she took some of its fruit and ate it, and she also gave some to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of the two of them were opened (that is, their awareness increased), and they knew that they were naked. and they fastened fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

4. Punishment:
Genesis 3:14-19 AMP The Lord God said to the serpent, Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all the cattle, And more than any animal of the field; on your belly, you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. 15 And I will put enmity (open hostility) Between you and the woman, and between your seed (offspring) and her Seed; He shall (fatally) bruise your head, And you shall (only) bruise His heel. 16 to the woman He said, “I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth; in pain you will give birth to children; yet your desire and longing will be for your husband, And he will rule (with authority) over you and be responsible for you. 17 then to Adam The Lord God said “Because you have listened (attentively) to your wife, and have eaten (fruit) from the tree about which I commanded you saying, “You shall not eat of it; The ground is now under a curse because of you; In sorrow and toil you shall eat (the fruit of) it all the days of your life. 18 both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you, and you shall eat the plants of the field. 19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for from it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

5. Restoration Promised:
Genesis 3:15 AMP And I will put enmity (open hostility: between you and the woman, and between your seed (offspring) and her seed He shall brutally bruise your head, And you shall only bruise His heel.

6. Prophecy of Coming Messiah:
Isaiah 7:14 AMP therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign; listen carefully the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will call His name Immanuel (God with us). Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child be born, to us a Son shall be given; and the government shall be upon His shoulders. And He name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace.

Micah 5:2 AMP But God tells us this: Bethlehem Ephrathah is only a little town, among all the many towns in Judah, God says. But I will choose someone who is born there. He will rule Israel for me. Long, long ago, I prepared for Him to come.

7. Prophecy Fulfilled:
Matthew 1:18-23 AMP Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows; when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph before they came together she was found to be with child by ( the power of) the Holy Spirit .19 And Joseph her ( promised) husband, being a just and righteous man and not wanting to expose her publicly to shame, planned to send her away and divorce her quietly 20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the world appeared to him in a dream. Saying, “ Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit 21 She will give birth to a Son, and you shall name Him Jesus (The Lord is Salvation), for He will save His people from their sins.22 All this happened in order to fulfill what the Lord had spoken through the prophet ( Isaiah) 23 Behold, The virgin shall be with child and give birth to a Son, And they shall call His name Immanuel— which when translated, means, “ God with us “. Matthew 2:4-6 AMP And when he (Herod) had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. 5 And they said to him, in Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the Prophet, 6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda; For out of thee shall come a governor, That shall rule My people Israel.

8. Jesus Announces His (purpose) Mission:
Luke 4:18-19 AMP (Jesus speaking) The Spirit of The Lord is upon Me (The Messiah) Because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor. He has sent Me to announce release      (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind. To set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, crushed by tragedy), 19 To proclaim The favorable year of The Lord (the day when salvation and the favor of God abound greatly. Purpose—-John 20:21 -22 AMP Then Jesus said to them again, peace to you; as The Father has sent Me, I also send you ( as my representative) 22 And when He said this, He breathed on them, “ Receive The Holy Spirit “ Purpose—— John 17:18 AMP ( Jesus speaking to The Father) Just as You commissioned and sent Me into the world, I also have commissioned and sent them ( believers into the world purpose ——-Luke 19:9-10 AMP Jesus said to him. “Today salvation has come to this household because he too is a (spiritual) son of Abraham; 10 For The Son of man has come to seek and save that which was lost.

E. Result of Salvation: Romans 5:1 AMP Therefore, since we have been justified (that is acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God) by faith, (let us grasp the fact that) we have peace with God (and the joy of reconciliation with Him) through our Lord Jesus Christ (The Messiah, The Anointed).

F. Expected Service: Matthew 28:18-20 AMP Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me, 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations ( help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words), baptizing them in the name of The Father and of The Son and of The Holy Spirit 20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always (remaining with you perpetually—-regardless of circumstances, and on every occasion) even to the end of the age.”
